The B1/B2 visa is a non-immigrant visa for those intending to travel to the United States of America with an intended short stay. The visa accommodates both business and tourism purposes and must be used for business and tourist VISITS.
During the period of stay which will Be determined by the CBP officer at the port
Of entry, the traveler is allowed to tend to business matters Such as workshops/ training, meetings, contract negotiation and signing. The visitor is allowed to engage in a manner that may be categorized as business-related. Employment is prohibited and the visitor should not be paid for work carried out in the United States by a US source.
This is the category visa for those intending to visit the United States for short stays as a tourist. Most commonly used for Family visits, special events, shopping etc. The B2 visa allows the traveller entry for A limited time and should be used in accordance to the visitors guide. The allowed time will be determined by the CBP officer and should be adhered to.
The B2 Tourist visa may also be used to attend medical appointments/ procedures, participation in amateur music, sports or events and a list of activities inline with the policy.
